The new 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish at the New Orleans Motorsports Park at the start of its North American journey
The new Aston Martin Vanquish undertook an extensive North American road trip last November, beginning with a US media launch at the New Orleans Motorsports Park. The car then moved on to Chicago where it was unveiled to guests from dealerships that included Lake Forest Sports Cars and new partner, Napleton’s Aston Martin of Chicago. Heading to Florida, Aston Martin Tampa Bay sponsored an event at the Ringling Museum Art Festival in Sarasota, where guests were able to see a variety of Aston Martins, including the new Vanquish.
Next stop was St Regis for an event supported by a group of southern Florida dealers, attended by 80 guests, select dealership personnel and local media. The car then crossed to the West Coast as Aston Martin Americas and Aston Martin Newport Beach teamed up with Worth magazine to host a group of UBS financial advisors and clients at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Newport Beach, California.
Concluding its tour, the Vanquish was showcased at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show in November, joining the luxury British sports car maker’s presence at the show in conjunction with dealer partner, Galpin Aston Martin of California. In addition to the Vanquish, the new DB9 and the Dragon 88 both featured, while there was a special James Bond tribute with various collectors’ memorabilia.
In December and January, Aston Martin, The Americas took to the road for the Designed to be Driven Tour, providing exclusive first-to-drive experiences in the 2014 Vanquish and the iconic 2013 DB9. The tour included appearances at Art Basel’s official Art Nexus celebration in Miami, the 007-themed festivities at the Timothy Oulton furniture gallery in Dallas, the Scottsdale auction houses in Phoenix and the Golden Globes and Equinox Sports Club in Los Angeles. At each stop, guests relished the opportunity to get behind the wheel of an Aston Martin.
As part of the Designed to be Driven Tour, in partnership with Worth magazine, a ride and drive event took place at Palm Harbor Marina, West Palm Beach, Florida, attended by 65 people. The reception was held aboard mega yacht Encore, thanks to lifestyle partner Worth Avenue Yachts. After the drives, guests enjoyed drinks courtesy of Nolet’s Gin and Glenrothes along with some fine cigars.

Aston Martin Ontario, dealer partner in Toronto, hosted 38 guests at the Canadian Tire Motorsport track with attendees tackling the circuit in various Aston Martin models, including the DBS and V8 Vantage. Also on display was the new Vanquish.
